How the System Works

Customers need to enter their name, phone number, email, date, start Eircode, and end Eircode. Eircodes help in locating addresses efficiently.

Calculating Distance and Time

After entering Eircodes, customers click on Calculate Distance and Time. The system calculates the distance and time using Google Maps API, showing both Depo to start and start to end details.

Reviewing and Submitting

Customers review the distance, duration, and other details. Upon satisfaction, they click SUBMIT,storing their data for further processing.

Adding and Pricing

Customers can select items based on categories like living room, bedroom, etc. Each item has specific dimensions helping in space estimation.

Visualizing Items

As items are selected, they are visually represented in a van diagram. Customers can see how items fit into the van, helping in load planning.

Price Calculation

Prices are determined based on the total distance traveled, consisting of two components: Fuel Cost: For distances up to 50 km, the price is 20 euros. For distances between 51 km and 100 km, the price is 40 euros. Beyond 100 km, an additional 20 euros is added for every 50 km traveled. Beyond 350 km, an additional 25 euros is added for every 50 km traveled. Load Cost: The pricing structure is designed to accommodate different volumes of items to be transported. Here is how it works: For volumes less than 4 cubic meters, the cost per cubic meter is set to 400 euros. For volumes between 4 and 8 cubic meters, the cost per cubic meter is set to 300 euros. For volumes between 8 and 12 cubic meters, the cost per cubic meter is set to 200 euros. The pattern repeats for volumes exceeding 12 cubic meters, with the aim of maintaining a full van price of around 300 euros while adjusting the per-cubic-meter cost accordingly. This pricing strategy allows for flexibility in handling different volume requirements while ensuring a consistent pricing structure.

Cost Estimation

Customers can track the total cost and space utilization as they add or remove items. This includes both the fuel cost, determined by the distance traveled, and the load cost, based on the selected items and van capacity.

Using Quotes

Customers receive a quote based on the calculated distance and time. They can review the total cost for the distance and duration provided. The system helps in understanding the price breakdown for better decision-making.
